Summary of the Article
This article mainly focuses on the traditions that are still alive in other parts of the country besides Greece. It will be a three day event in which people will dance, eat ,and play games. All of the activities will be done through dedication to their culture and their traditional values, whilst communicating with those whom share the same culture and familiar traditional values!
Thoughts, Emotions, and Observations about the Article
Although this article was written awhile ago, I found it very interesting as to how certain areas out of the country of Greece were still incorporating their Greek culture into their everyday modern lives. It wasn't just a group of people who were still accustomed to their Greek roots, but it was a whole neighborhood! There were local businesses, shops, and churches that aspired to keep the tradition going!
How This Relates to Culture
This relates to culture in the sense that some traditions and cultural Greek festivities will never die. (Basically almost every culture can be applied to this concept too!) No matter how long ago our ancestors have immigrated to any place, their original roots will never be ridden of, if they are dedicated to keeping their culture alive! Just like this neighborhood was.
